Ghanaian hiplife rapper Emmanuel Botchwey known in showbiz circles as Kwaw Kese is alleging that Shatta Wale benefited from the largesse of politicians four years ago and that is why Sarkodie and Samini are doing the same thing this time round.
With barely a month to the general elections, Samini, contrary to his earlier position on the matter, has produced an endorsement song for the NPP. On his part, Sarkodie in his latest song, also subtly praised the incumbent government backing its quest for a second term.
This raised eyebrows about the motive of these musicians and other creative arts players who have equally thrown caution to the wind and openly declared support for political parties, with many suspecting it could be for financial reasons. Claims neither Sarkodie nor Samini has publicly refuted.
Well, in a newly released song ‘Political Money’, Kwaw Kese said because it appears Shatta Wale bought a mansion from money received from politicians four years ago, Sarkodie also demanded his pound of flesh from them. As for Samini, the rapper claims he was in a hurry to claim his “pension pay” from these politicians:
“Last four years, Shatta Wale went for it to buy a house, yellow mansion, Sark also went for his own this year…Samini also received his pension pay…if you remember, Kwabena Kwabena and Agya Koo said it was great to spend money from politicians”
The rapper further encouraged all those who are hungry to go for their share of the national cake from these politicians insisting the money will not be used for promised developmental projects anyway.
