Highlife musician, Kwaisey Pee has said the standard of living of some stars in Ghana does not qualify them to be regarded as celebrities.
In his view, a showbiz personality needs to attain certain level of wealth and affluence to be called a celebrity.
According to him, having lived in different parts of the world has exposed him to know what entails being a celebrity.
Speaking on HitzFM, Kwaisey Pee said: “Do they own a Lamborghini? Do they have a private jet? Do they have things you need to be called a celeb?”
He however asserted that the embattled CEO of Menzgold, Nana Appiah Mensah is one of the few Ghanaians who qualifies to be called a celebrity because of his wealth.
“The guy had everything, money, mansions, cars and a private jet. If they all belong to him, he qualifies as a celebrity,” he stated.
