Ghanaian rapper, Strongman has said he was hurt after he was snubbed in the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) rapper of the year category.
The former Sarkcess Music signee in an interview on GhOne TV stated that he was expecting to be nominated in the category because he had worked hard in the year under review.
Strongman further stated that he was the hardest working hip hop artiste in the country last year hence his disappointment.
“I had hiplife song of the year nomination with Kwame Eugene so I was waiting for the best rapper as the rest were not coming. Last year I worked harder than every hip pop artiste. If you should take the rap culture, I took it very serious last year so it was quite unfortunate I didn’t see my name,” he said during the interview.
He however indicated that he felt vindicated when people expressed their disappointment after his snub.
“I felt happy because if you check the pages of Ghana Music Awards, you will see most people commenting my name so it made me feel at least the fans appreciate me”.
Strongman parted ways with Sarkodie’s Sarkcess Music in May this year after their two year contract expired.
