One half of the FOKN Bois, M3nsa has said the annual Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) is a group of friends awarding each other.
The outspoken musician explained that the board will do a better job if they widen their scope to award deserving musicians.
Speaking to Joy News in an interview at last weekends Ghana Music Awards, the talented musician said: ” We (FOKN Bois) were invited to do a performance and I think that was the most memorable performance for VGMA.”
Adding that, “But since then, we just felt like its a group of friends awarding eachother because if they are really paying attention to the works that some musicians are doing across board, it’ll go slightly different.”
M3nsa stated that his comments are not to discredit the organizers of the annual award scheme.
“This is not to discredit them entirely but I just feel like the VGMAs is not my thing. I’m actually not really into awards. Its not my thing” he added
