Songstress, Wendy Addo widely known as Wendy Shay has disclosed her mother gave birth to her at the tender age of 17.
The ‘Astalavista’ singer indicated that she has not had life easy although people assume the contrary because she has lived in Germany for most part of her life.
The Rufftown records signee has been one of the most criticized Ghanaian celebrities since she burst onto the entertainment scene in 2018.
She has come under a barrage of criticism from one issue to another.
Speaking in a recent interview with MzGee on JoyNews, Wendy Shay said her critics are ignorant of her story.
” Most people don’t know my upbringing and how I started. I lost my dad at the age of two and half. My family members came and took everything from my mum including the house and cars he left behind. so my mum had to start all over again,”
“My mum was then pregnant with my sister and it was tough. she had to relocate to Germany where she hustled and later came to pick my sister and I to join her.”
“My mum had me at the age of 17 so I’ve been like a sister to her. So when I work, I have to put something on the table to help my mum to cater for my 3 siblings. Its not that easy without a father,” An emotional Wendy Shay said
