Actress, Bibi Bright has said she didn’t receive anything from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) after she campaigned for the party to come to power.
Bibi, who is currently the Executive Secretary of the Creative Arts Council emphatically stated that her campaign for the NPP during the 2016 electioneering year wasn’t for personal gains.
The mother of two made this comment when she joined other panelists including media personalities Akosua Hanson, Mikky Osei Berko and Ghana Based Nigerian publicist,Franklin Cole on the Gee Spot to discuss ‘Showbiz and Politics’.
” I met the President for the first time since I campaigned for him just this Easter. When I endorsed him, I never went to his office to meet up with him. I went straight to work after the endorsement of his candidature and party” she told host, MzGee.
She added that, ” I can boldly tell you on your platform that before and after campaigning for the NPP, I haven’t received anything for my efforts to their winning”.
For her, the 2016 elections was not won because of the personalities who endorsed the party but because Ghanaians were ready to vote for change.
The Gee Spot with MzGee shows on Joy Prime, DStv 281 on Saturdays at 6.30 pm.
