Ghanaian music duo of identical twin brothers, DopeNation have disclosed they produced Fameye’s hit single, ‘Nothing I get’.
The ‘Zanku’ hitmakers who were formally music producers explained that although they are actively doing music now, they will continue to produce music for artistes.
In a conversation with MzGee on ‘The Gist’, the duo stated that they recently released five new beats to give emerging artistes the opportunity.
Asked if they still give out beats to musicians after their success in the music industry, they said, ” We still give out beats to everyone. Our recent production is with Fameye, “Notin I get”. We also released five new beats to upcoming artistes. So for beats, we’ll continue to drop”.
On if combining both beat making and singing would be destructive, the duo said, ” It won’t be. We wish we could even play instruments to add to what we are doing now. Because the versatility of an artiste isn’t only about the genre. It should be about being able to know a bit about everything that has to do with music.”
The newly signed Lynx Entertainment artistes also expressed keen interest in working with award winning music duo, R2bees.
‘The Gist’ with MzGee airs on the Joynews Channel on MultiTV and on DSTV 421 on Saturdays and Sundays at 8.30pm.
