Ghanaian top model, Victoria Micheals has disclosed the recent xenophobic attacks in South Africa made her restless.
The model who is currently based in South Africa told MzGee in an interview on ‘The Gist’ that although her stay in South Africa has been worth while as a model, she has been greatly disturb by the attacks.
” Its been great in South Africa just that I don’t like what is happening at the moment which is the xenophobic attacks”
” I’m black and proud so I see no reason why blacks should attack other blacks. We should actually portray to the world that we are one people. But that is not what is happening.”
On the issue of her safety while living in the country, Victoria said: ” It depends on where you are located. I lived in a safe area so I didn’t have issues but I was restless and concerned. I wasn’t happy about it at all but otherwise, South Africa has good to me work wise”
Victoria Micheals is currently one of the most sought after Ghanaian models.
She has worked with several top brands including Melcom, Vodacom, DsTV, Pringle of Scotland among others.
